Industry: Food

When Panino approached us, they were already a known name in Nagpur. But as the Brand was growing, they needed to update their appearance in terms of design and branding concepts.

After an exhaustive research, our team proposed a revamp of their logo and a new identity model. The concept was to make their brand identity long lasting and technology ready.

Logo Revamp & A New Symbol:

Research: We conducted a survey amongst the Panino Lovers to know more about how they feel about the brand’s look and feel. Four most common feedbacks were : Friendly, Innovative, Tasty and Youthful.

Symbol: Starting with the logo our team created a new symbol which was legible across multiple platforms and unique. The new “P” symbol was a direct design representing the business in a flat design style as flat design is the future trend and is very legible with technological media like Web, Mobile Apps and Motion Graphics.

Logo Type: Not changing the original Logotype, we revamped it to make it simple, smooth and readable. The new changes were minimal which made their logo visually impactful in a more stable and eye soothing way.

Colors: We brightened the iconic Red and Blue theme colors to look more friendly and youthful, because majority of their target audience being youth.

Enhancing the Hidden Treasure:

We observed that Panino also had a Mascot, Mr. Panino, which was a hidden treasure as it had not been used much in the branding and promotions. Mascots can convey and connect in a more human way. Hence we decided to enhance and utilize Mr. Panino and give him the exposure and look he deserved in order to create a friendly bond with the customers.

We revamped Mr. Panino to look more human, friendly, cute, heroic and flexible. We had many future plans for him as you will observe in the next few slides.

The Avatars And In-store Themes

Part 1 - Planet Panino:

This was our first experiment with both Panino In-store design and Mr. Panino. As mentioned before Mr. Panino was a hidden treasure we could mould him into any theme and yet it would not break the uniformity of brand identity. This in-store design was created for their Sadar Outlet.

We used a Sci-Fi Space theme which connected very instantly with the audience. Every one likes fantasy. We used the food products and fused them into different elements in space. We made Mr. Panino an astronaut here. It instantly gained recognition with the customers.

Now while the customers waited for their order, they had many things to observe.

The Avatars And In-store Themes

Part 2 - The Heaven Of Taste:

The Ramdaspeth outlet was designed on “Heaven of Taste” theme, where Mr. Panino and his friends were transformed into angels. As this outlet has an upper floor sitting area, we used the stairs for branding which was intended to both direct and amuse the customers.

We used a grateful gesture here in copy-writing and design to strengthen the bond with the customers.

The Logo design was created by combining Mr. Panino and an abstract word “Del Knock” - Delivery Knock.

The whole design language was kept close to the brand identity by colors and mascot with eye catching and smart concept such as phone-door along with the delivery vehicle branding.

Packaging Design:
